Account Manager tips: Delio Core — your digital shop window
As your private markets platform, Delio Core serves as an invaluable shop window for your firm’s alternative assets proposition. It showcases your deal flow, provides detailed information on the investment opportunities available to your clients, and acts as a centralised hub for all of your private markets activity.
Delio’s account managers have provided some great tips on how you can configure your Delio Core platform to maximise investor appeal, which we’re delighted to share in our latest blog series. Of course, how you use your Delio Core platform is completely up to you, but we hope this series will spark some new ideas to help you get the most out of your platform.
In this blog, we’re focussing on how you can provide the best investor experience through your platform.
Tailor your homepage
Your homepage is the first thing your investors will see when they log into the platform. To capture their attention, you can include a banner message to welcome them to the platform, display your latest news articles, and feature your most recently published deals.
While the platform is branded to your firm, this is a great opportunity to create a seamless investor experience by customising the imagery that it uses. To do this, try to use images and messaging that is similar to that which you use in other channels, such as your website and collateral.
Another factor to consider is opting to display a reporting-centric homepage. This configuration will pull through a reporting summary for internal users and key portfolio metrics for investors, giving them a snapshot of their investment activity as soon as they log on.
Head of Account Management, Lisa Sheehan comments; “We find a lot of users like to see how their investments are currently performing. Using a reporting-centric homepage gives them that insight straight away and helps drive further engagement with the platform. It provides an instant overview of how their investments are doing and encourages them to dig deeper into new opportunities.”
We’ve also recently added the functionality to set Communities as your platform’s homepage. Communities helps you to increase engagement and collaboration around investment opportunities by building highly targeted investor networks within your platform. Directing people straight here when they log onto the platform will help to increase investor engagement and stimulate online conversations around topics that are closely aligned with their interests.

Promote items with your welcome message
Take your homepage personalisation one step further by prompting users, investors and entrepreneurs to take action with a tailored welcome message.
For example, you could use it to draw attention to your recently published deals by using wording like “Welcome to the {Company Name} platform, we’ve uploaded a range of new deals recently, check them out below.”
Some other options could include highlighting an upcoming event that you’re attending or a link to a news article that encourages users to engage with your content.
If you’re stuck for content ideas, you can draw insights from the data in your Analytics dashboards to identify what users engage with the most and which deals to promote based on investor behaviour.

News, events and resources
Keep your client base informed of important news and events in your platform’s dedicated hub. You can publish any industry or company updates as news articles and list upcoming events. The resources page also lets you publish external links to web pages and offline materials for your client base to access.
Anna Curtis, Delio’s Head of Account Management, points out that “posting regular updates on news gives your clients more reason to log into your platform and keeps your homepage up to date. When you’ve published a new news article, tie this in with a communication from the platform and encourage them to click through to view the update – this encourages them to log in more regularly.”
